By having your Skidmore unit calibrated by us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before sending your unit in for calibration. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use our services.
SECTION 1 - SHIPPING
If you do not indicate a preferred freight carrier AND your collect account with that carrier on our Calibration Request Form, we will ship back your unit using our carrier of choice and add freight charges to the invoice.
If you incorrectly indicate the collect account number for your preferred carrier on our Calibration Request Form, we will ship back your unit using our carrier of choice and add freight charges to the invoice.
SECTION 2 - REPAIRS DURING CALIBRATION
Occasionally repairs to your unit are required beyond the scope of a standard calibration. We will perform any repairs that do not exceed half the cost of a new unit.
SECTION 3 - WORK AUTHORIZATION
By sending us your unit, you are authorizing us to perform calibration and/or repair services.
Any units sent to our facility and left unclaimed for a period of one year (365 days) will become the property of Skidmore-Wilhelm.
SECTION 4 - PAYMENT
Credit cards are the preferred method of payment. If you are located within the continental United States and have a preexisting Skidmore-Wilhelm account payment terms are Net 30. If you are located outside the continental United States, we require payment in advance via bank wire transfer (fees apply) or credit card.
SECTION 5 - PACKAGING
Skidmore units are sensitive calibration devices that can be damaged or rendered inaccurate if they are not transported properly. If we receive a unit that has been improperly packaged, we will properly package it upon return shipment. You will be charged for proper packaging which may include new foam, a new case, etc. Skidmore-Wilhelm will not assume liability for damages.
SECTION 6 - CALIBRATION REQUEST FORM
The calibration request form must be received prior to receipt of the Skidmore unit at our facility.
A $50 handling fee will be added to all orders due to higher administration costs associated with completing calibrations without an online Calibration Request Form submission .
If we do not receive your unit within 30 days of your online Calibration Request submission, your order will be cancelled. You will need to submit a new Calibration Request Form.
SECTION 7 - TERMINATION
The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.
These Terms of Service are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms of Service at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our site.
If in our sole judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services (or any part thereof).
SECTION 8 - GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of 30340 Solon Industrial Parkway, Unit B, Solon, OH 44139
SECTION 9 - SAME DAY SERVICE
In situations where a quick turnaround of your calibration is the top priority we offer "Same Day" service. This level of service requires an additional charge of $1000. Please call our Calibration Department at (216) 481-4774 Extension 4 to arrange same day service.
SECTION 10 - CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE
You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time at this page.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to our website or the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms of Service constitutes acceptance of those changes.
